een erg ongewoon verzoek... Die mensen die in slaap waren gevallen in Luxemburg zijn aankomende zondag in nederland en zouden werken kunnen ophalen. Lukt jou dan eventueel er te zijn? Beste lijkt mij - indien zoiets kan- dat de chauffeur jou mobiel belt een uur voor aankomst in Hoogeveen. Is dat iets wat zou kunnen denk je ?? groetjes adriaan

een kleine bijdrage van mij. ik herinner mij vooral alle kleine kattebelletjes van hem per mail, maar soms ook per post.zijn betrokkenheid, maar ook de man als wandelende anecdote en hoe hij, hoe ziek af en toe ook, helemaal opleefde wanneer hij weer een verhaal over de 'de kunst' kon vertellen,.. zoals alleen hij dat kon. ik heb hem niet zo lang gekent, iets meer dan 3 jaar, en zou dit voorjaar mijn eerste tentoonstelling bij hem hebben. toch is hij in die korte tijd enorm belangrijk voor mij geweest en heb ik vreselijk veel van hem mogen leren. ik ben heel blij hem ontmoet te hebben!veel groeten, Looove TINKEBELL.

I mostly remind all the small notes I got from Adriaan by e-mail or postcards.His involvement, but also him as a 'walking anecdote' and how he, as ill as he sometimes was, completely forgot his pain when he started telling another story about "the Art" in a way only he could. I have known him just for the last 3 years and in may i would have had my first exhibition at Torch. Nevertheless he was such an important person to me and I've learned so much of him.Thank you dear Adriaan. I'm so thankful for knowing you! Looove TINKEBELL.

Well since his Uncle Torcho (in French ; "Tonton de la Tourche") is often seen on this blog posing with pretty girls, our little JULIAN wishes to contribute happily with this photo of them two posing in front of a very nice painted portrait of ...his beloved nanny (unfortunately absent that day) Photo taken in August 2008 when Adriaan came with Auntie Mitsy for a visit in Brussels just after the birth of Julian's little sister, Violette.

dear friends and family of adriaan, i am sitting in the bush in australia when this devastating news came through. this is such shocking news... my wishes and love go to mo and mitsy... how shattered they must be...our dear brother adriaan! such a gorgeous idealistic wonderful man. a true spirit who was always so kind and generous and adored by all who had the privilege of meeting him and working with him. he was like a true brother to so many, he gave so much to artists and life and his special family over so many years. we will all miss him so much! very few people can come close to adriaans warm and magnificent heart.... i will now go out into the night and watch the moon grow big and think of you adriaan. may you rest in tranquility ....

I still remember 3 years ago when my daughter Sarah was 14, she had to interview Adriaan for her school project, and Adriaan gave her this picture as illustration for her article. We are right now madly searching for her interview to add it to all this great messages.Adriaan, we are missing you.
